Training Overview

We are able to offer a range of courses in Food Safety and Health & Safety,  accredited to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Officers (CIEH).  Many courses are also available from the RIPH.  These courses can be modified to meet the group's needs.  We also offer a flexible range of bespoke courses that can be developed for your needs.  In 2009/2010, we provided training for around 1,000 learners covering both accredited and bespoke courses in food hygiene and health & safety. 

We have over 25 years' experience in safety training and our courses use a range of resources ranging from Powerpoint presentations, Videos and DVDs to workshops and practical work-based scenarios and role plays.

Recent clients have included local authorities, Devon County Council, Duchy College, City College Plymouth, Rapid Results College, DEFRA, and a very wide range of small and large food manufacturers and organisations within the hospitality sector.

For local authorities, we have worked in partnership to provide training in food hygiene and health and safety to provide compliant and low cost training for businesses.

We firmly believe that a well-designed training programme combined with working with your organisation to implement systems will prove the most effective way to ensure that long term improvements are maintained.

Food Safety

Level 2 (Foundation Courses)

• CIEH Level 1 Award in Food Safety (Suitable for those working in low risk food handling)

• CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety (Previously Foundation / Basic Level and available for manufacturing, catering and retail staff)

Level 3 (Supervisory Level)

• CIEH or Level 3 Award in Food Safety (Previously Intermediate Level and available for manufacturing, catering and retail staff)

• CIEH Level 3 Award in Implementing Food Safety Management Procedures

• Level 3 Award in HACCP for Manufacturing

Bespoke Courses

We specialise in providing courses containing an adapted syllabus to meet your needs.  These can either include CIEH accreditation or Certification to our quality standard. 

We are keen to develop work with young people, schools, special needs and learning disability groups and have previous expertise in these areas.

A number of clients have requested specific training for occupational health & safety and food safety which have been tailored to meet their needs to support development of management systems.

We are also able to provide bespoke health and safety courses for senior managers and directors.
