Occupational Health & Safety

We provide a fully flexible support service in the area of occupational health and safety.  This ranges from a full support service in providing safety management systems, policies and assessments through to retained service for inspection and support.  The strength of the service is that as an accredited training service, staff mentoring and training will ensure the development of safety culture and ensure that this is spread within the client's organisation to ensure that systems are properly understood and embedded.

We can support your business towards the requirements of the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) by developing associate systems for safety and associated retained support.  Membership of CHAS is often a prerequisite for contracting services to supply some of the larger clients on a national basis (such as local authorities, County Councils etc.) and can open up new markets.  

As opposed to large, national, safety consultancies, you will get a personal service and support that is tailored to suit your specific needs.  The service is flexible and being locally based is able to be fully responsive.  Retained support will also ensure access to fast, professional advice when it is needed.

We can offer a risk management and assessment service, acting as competent support in assisting employers in meeting these requirements.  We also undertake accident investigation, litigation and expert witness support, safety surveys (including noise assessments) and a retained business advisory support service for health & safety.

We have access to associates who have extensive experience in fire safety, engineering, construction, manufacturing and asbestos surveying.

We also provide support to local authorities on meeting programmed inspection targets, provision of training, officer absence cover and support for special projects.       back to top

Food Hygiene & Safety

We work with a wide range of food manufacturing and catering industries in assisting in the development of food safety management systems to meet individual needs of organisations.  These systems will take your organisation through to meeting externally accredited standards and take marketing to new heights.  This includes the requirements for Food Safety Policies and procedures to meet Article 5 of EC Regulation 852/2004 for HACCP.  As an Environmental Health Practitioner, Jerry is able to provide advice  on interpretation of legal requirements to satisfy the enforcement officer expectations.

We specialise in providing advice and guidance together with training to an accredited standard in ensuring that your staff and systems meet the standard.  Our approach is to work closely with your organisation and staff in developing practical systems, thereby ensuring sustainable control in the long term and that systems are fully 'owned' by staff within the organisation.

We can assist with infection control, complaints and food poisoning investigations by providing expert witness and litigation support.

We can provide assistance with interim technical management support, business development and implementation of accredited food safety systems such as BRC and the SALSA accreditation scheme which is well suited towards small artisan food producers.

We also provide local authorities with support on meeting programmed inspection targets, provision of training, absence cover and support for special projects.       back to top                      

General Services

We have a retained business advisory support service on both food hygiene and occupational safety to ensure that you have expert advice available when you need it.

We can also provide comprehensive support to deal with infectious disease outbreaks or allegations of food poisoning.

We supply a range of both food safety and occupational safety training materials which meet accredited course standards.  We can also assist with providing advice on business start-up, Caravan Site Licensing, private water supplies, assisting with applications for the Licensing Act 2003 and environmental health aspects of planning control.          back to top
