Jerry has worked for over 35 years in the field of food and occupational safety, both in private industry and as an enforcement inspector.  His last employed role was as Principal Environmental Health Officer at a Devon local authority, where he had responsibility for service delivery in all aspects of safety, food hygiene and infection control enforcement.  He is a fully qualified Environmental Health Practitioner and continues to provide occasional support and training services to local authorities.

He has a Diploma in Environmental Health (Distinction) and an MSc. in Environmental Health and has obtained the NEBOSH Diplomas Parts 1 & 2 in Occupational Safety and Health (with Credits).  Occupational safety work has included supporting safety management systems and risk assessments for the leisure services, engineering, charities, hospitality, food and drink manufacturing sectors and he has wide experience in finding practical solutions to challenges.

He has been a registered trainer for both food safety and occupational safety courses since 1990 and runs a wide range of courses for local authorities, colleges, education and private catering and manufacturing industries.  He also supports development of training materials for several training bodies.

He has wide experience in a diverse range of food manufacturing industries, retail, catering & hospitality sectors and has a demostrable track records in establishing, implementing and maintaining systems to meet client requirements - the 'Clients & Testimonials' tab for more information.

Diplock Safety & Hygiene is in its 15th year and developed as a leading provider of support and training services throughout the South West and clients include local authorities (enforcement and corporate training provision), food manufacturers, caterers, colleges (NEBOSH accredited tutor for Diploma and certificate level occupational safety training), hotels and leisure providers, charities, engineering and care providers.
